Mezzo-Soprano Lindsay Schoenberger is a Northeastern Illinois University School of Music graduate with a Master of Arts Degree in Vocal Pedagogy. There, she performed roles in an array of operas including The Magic Flute and Massenet’s Cinderella. Lindsay also attended the Indiana University School of Music and achieved a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Currently, Lindsay is a Cantorial Soloist and Music Specialist at Congregation Solel in Highland Park, where she sings for weekly services, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and holidays. She is also a member of the Grant Park Music Festival Chorus.
Miss Schoenberger has sung professionally with several companies, including Chamber Opera Chicago, Chicago Syntagma Musicum, and L’Opera Piccola. She has also performed in concerts with Saint Luke Recorder Series, the McKenna Ensemble, and has sung liturgal works with St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Chicago Sinai Congregation, Temple Beth Israel, and St. Catherine’s Laboure. Miss Schoenberger also attended various summer programs, including the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz , Austria , and the Oberlin in Italy Program at Centro Studi Italiani in Urbania, Italy.
Her diverse repertoire and proficiency in diction of several languages make Miss Schoenberger a unique and skilled contributor to the Chicagoland music scene.
